Senior Sound Engineer

  • Full Time position – 5 day week/40 hours – plus some occasional weekend shift/overtime work to also include some gigs/rigs
  • Assist in management of warehouse & procedures
  • Contribute with advice and improving methods
  • Assist in training junior engineers
  • Prep & maintenance of equipment
  • Senior engineer and project manager for main shows and events
  • Mandatory 1x Weekend day shift a month

The candidate for the senior engineer role should have minimum 10 years experience in the Live sector and in depth knowledge of audio equipment and its application in different environments.

They also would be expected to have touring experience and good references. Only candidates that meet this criteria will be considered for this role.

Junior Sound Engineer

  • Full Time position – 5 day week/40 hours – plus some occasional weekend shift/overtime work to also include some gigs/rigs
  • Prep & maintenance of equipment
  • Radio Frequency booking
  • Assist in equipment allocation on jobs and updating
  • Assist in warehouse/office
  • To be trained by senior engineers in methods and procedures
  • To log and arrange secondhand sales and equipment
  • To engineer small shows/rigs and assist in larger projects to gain experience
  • Mandatory 1x Weekend day shift a month

Duties include:

  • Daily transport duties including delivery and collection of equipment
  • Loading and Unloading of company vehicle
  • Rigging & De-Rigging of Backline equipment, small stages and small audio set-ups (Training will be given on this)
  • Ensuring vehicle is regularly cleaned and presentable.
  • Managing paperwork and ensuring correct equipment is delivered and collected from venues.
  • Work as part of transport team – occasionally on 2 man jobs
  • Seeing equipment out/in of warehouse with Customers and JHL Drivers

Requirements include:

  • Experience in driving long wheel base vans (min 3 years)
  • Physically Fit and Able
  • Clean Drivers Licence
  • Good Timekeeping
  • Attention to detail
  • Communicating with clients on delivery/collection and assisting where necessary
  • Loading of equipment/Pack of Vehicle done safely at all times
  • Overtime (including weekend days) to fulfil department commitments in busy periods.

Working Times:

  • 40 Hour week plus overtime – we are open 7 days a week
  • Overtime and set up rates are applicable
