From Jazz guitar legend to soul-pop vocalist extraordinaire, 8 time Grammy winner George Benson's music is both versatile and unpredictable and has made him one of the world's most respected musicians for the past 30 years.

JHL were proud to supply him and his superb band with their backline requirements which included:

Fender Twin 65 Re-Issue combos, Polytone Mini-Brute combos, SWR SM-900 amps and cabs, the mighty Yamaha C7 MK11 Grand piano complete with a Helpinstill Model 180 pickup system, Yamaha Motif ES7 & ES8's, Roland XP80 & Yamaha Maple Custom kit.

Earth Wind and Fire (EWF) returned to Europe for a short tour to let us all re-live hits like "Shining Star", "Let's Groove", "Boogie Wonderland" and "After the Love is Gone". In their 35 years they have notched up eight Grammy Awards, four American Music Awards, eight double Platinum/Top 10 Pop albums, eight number #1 R&B singles, a Star on the "Hollywood Walk of Fame" and "Lifetime Achievement Honours", EWF and their music remains as inspirational and influential as ever.

JHL were contracted to supply a full set of Backline equipment including:

Crate VC5 212 combos, Taylor W12 acoustic guitar, SWR SM-900 amps and Megogoliath cabs, GEM Promega 2, Kurzweil PC-2X, Roland VK7, Roland V-Synth, Yamaha Motif7 keyboards, Roland XV-5080, Yamaha Motif racks, DW Collectors Series drums, Sabain cymbals and vast quantity of LP Percussion to name but some.

JHL have purchased yet another Yamaha GT7 "GranTouch" Digital piano to service the current run of shows which features JR's favourite band "Four Poofs and a Piano" every Friday night on BBC1.

JHL also supplies the full house and monitor system for the show.

JHL provided backline for My Chemical Romance, Panic at the Disco, Underoath, Men, Women & Children, Taking Back Sunday and Silverstein, whose tours all incorporate performances at this event.

JHL provide the Backline equipment for legendary country artiste Don Williams , without doubt one of the true American Classics. This is to be his very last International Farewell tour.

Another unique event serviced by JHL this month with some amazing artistes from the world's most eclectic celebrations of Latin music which also had the most challenging and diverse Backline equipment specifications.

Backline Rental Manager, Tark Bates gets this months award for most unusual job location with two full backlines being supplied for a special event in two different locations on board the QM2 along with Technician in black tie for the duration.

Tark received a panic phone call regarding the loading from the dockside onto the ship when a Fender Twin Combo decided to take a trip off the loading pallet and was last seen bobbing about in the English Channel heading for France.......it didn't get far as it was seen disappearing below the waves into the deep! Tark dispatched a replacement just before the ship sailed and saved the day.

Graham Norton's very popular Saturday night show on BBC1 , has again contracted JHL to supply full house and monitoring for the 8 week run of the show and have specified two Yamaha PM5D consoles to control all aspects of the Audio requirements.

Like "Just the Two of Us" this is a very demanding Live to Air show.

Time flies and another "Later.....with Jools" hits our screens shortly. To satisfy the demand, JHL have invested in another two Yamaha PM5D-RH digital consoles. First up is USA masters of grunge "Pearl Jam" who specified the board. Other acts on the first show are The Spinto Band, The Zutons, Corinne BaileyRae, Jamie Foxx and Jenny Lewis.....the program goes out on Friday 5th May 06 on BBC2 at 11:35pm so don't miss it.

This is the 27th Series and JHL have serviced the programme from the beginning.

Balancing her very busy schedule between her acting and musical career, JHL provided Backline & Staging for her European tour.
