Backline Warehouse Technician
Full Time Warehouse Position (40 hour week plus overtime) here at our London headquarters 5 mins from Kings Cross.
Applicant’s duties will include:

- Overseeing preparation & maintenance of backline equipment.
- Assisting with management of large backline inventory.
- Ensuring backline equipment and flightcases are constantly in the best condition possible.
Applicants require the following qualities:
- High level of knowledge and experience in guitars, amplification, keyboards and associated backline equipment.
- Basic electrical safety awareness.
- Attention to detail.
- Physically fit, no history of back problems.
- Be able to work overtime (including occasional weekend days) at short notice to fulfil department commitments in busy periods.
- Be able to work as part of a team and also individually.
- Computer literate, good reading and writing skills.
- An ability to focus on the large amount of paperwork you will be in charge of is essential.
Front of House - Reception
Purpose of Position:
To provide Front of House support to the studio manager and manage access and incoming deliveries to the John Henry's facility comprising Studios, Warehouses and Offices and a team of rental managers working on a diverse range of projects in a fast-paced, busy office, with the pressures of deadlines from live gigs, TV & Radio shows and tours.
Requirements:
Responsibilities to include:

Requirements:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook. Ability to be trained on further software programmes.
- A polite and presentable person, with a confident phone manner and the ability to take messages and forward them to the key person. Good literacy skills.
- A knowledge of and interest in the music industry and a willingness to learn.
- A willingness to be flexible on hours – ie there may be occasions where overtime is required on evenings / weekends.
Responsibilities to include:
- Take phone calls & operate switchboard
- Take messages and email relevant persons
- Organise all deliveries / collections to reception from couriers/drivers and notify relevant dept./studios with priority of keeping reception area clear
- Take care of all non-studio related visitors and show them to relevant office/depts./warehouse/persons
- Direct all studio related customers/queries straight to Studio Manager & Studio Reception.
- Monitoring CCTV and Entrances.
- Day Log - Oversee daily register of staff / clients / visitors in the building
- Distribution of Post
- Administration of parking bays/bikes – log visitor cars and liase with Studio Manager & Transport Dept
- Keeping Studio and Common areas tidy/clean
- First Aid (Training provided)
- Look after tenants post/parcels & visitors
- Taking in deliveries and notifying the relevant people / departments.
- Overseeing logistics in the yard.
- Weekend Reception cover as required.
Backline Warehouse Junior
Full Time Warehouse Position (40 hour week plus overtime) here at our London headquarters 5 mins from Kings Cross.

Applicant’s duties will include:
- Loading of gear in and out of (but not limited to) the Backline Dept. This will include general movement of stock to and from other depts and also the warehouse mezzanine floor.
- General tidying of warehouse – keeping the warehouse floor clear of debris/rubbish/emptying of bins, making sure stock is put in correct areas and is tidy and uniform.
- Helping Backline Technicians with the assembly of large instruments (pianos etc.) for testing and removal of gear from flight cases for inspection.
- Checking of equipment back from events, including the reporting of damages/losses.
- Maintenance of flightcases and stock (under supervision).
- Assisting the movement/cataloguing/rigging and de-rigging of equipment in and out of rehearsal studios.
Applicants require the following qualities:

- Be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Finance Assistant
We are looking for an ambitious person to begin their career in accounting and who would like to gain practical knowledge while progressing with their studies.
Responsibilities & required skills:
- Full time, permanent role after satisfactory probation

Responsibilities & required skills:
- Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
- Sales Ledger day-to-day processing tasks including invoicing, credit control, bank postings, taking card payments over the phone.
- Upon satisfactory proficiency and competency of above, exposure to Purchase Ledger may commence. Tasks will be broadly similar to Sales Ledger.
- Upon satisfactory proficiency of both Sales & Purchase Ledgers, exposure to Nominal Ledger may commence.
- Excellent attention to detail and can-do attitude is a prerequisite
- Assisting with general office administration and ad hoc duties as and when required
- This role would suit someone with a high level accuracy, literacy, and numeracy
- Minimum AAT level 3 or equivalent plus minimum of 2 year’s relevant experience in a similar role. We offer exposure in other accounting areas depending on the candidate’s progress, aptitude and ability.
